After Receiving Double Transplant, 9-Year-Old Williamsburg-Area Boy is Recovering and Back in School 🥳🏫🎒🚸

Diagnosed at birth with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease, a genetic disorder impacting kidney and liver function, Langdon, 9, continues to recover after receiving two organ transplants donated from local teachers. Read more here.

City of Williamsburg to Host Future Festivals to Gather Public Input for Strategic Plan 🏛️🙌🏼

The city said it will host seven festivals over two weeks where attendees will play games specifically designed to gather feedback to inform the development of the city’s work plan for the next two years. Read more here. 

Anheuser-Busch to Spend $6.5 Million on Improvements to Williamsburg Brewery 🍺🍷

Terry Banez, CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce, said the company’s latest investment in Williamsburg “underscores the brewer’s commitment to the Commonwealth and the vitality of our local manufacturing industry.” Read more here.

Ford’s Village will feature a wide array of amenities including a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, pickleball courts, fire pits, programmed parks, gated entrance, and more. Get out of here Mosquitos!! Parts of Williamsburg are expected to be Mosquito free as York County Mosquito Control announced ground spraying occurred Wednesday, Sept. 4, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5. Read more here.
