Whitney Auerbach, a dental hygienist and mom of triplets, noticed the abundance of sugary drinks at her kids' sports tournaments across the country. With her two children active in multiple sports, this sparked her awareness of the need for healthier alternatives. Read more here.

Ruth E. Carter's Exhibit Extended at Jamestown Settlement, Featuring Black Panther Costumes 👗🥻

Academy Award-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter's exhibition, “Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design,” featuring over 60 costumes from films like Black Panther and Dolemite is My Name, has been extended until January 5, 2025, at Jamestown Settlement. A special program with Carter is scheduled for October 5, including a gallery talk, a reception, and opportunities for museum guests to engage in creative activities inspired by her work.Read more here.

Colonial K9 Classic Brings Exciting Dock Diving Competition to Jamestown Beach This Weekend 🐕🐕

The Colonial K9 Classic, hosted by Muddy Marley’s Dog Wash, will take place at Jamestown Beach Event Park this weekend, featuring dogs competing in various athletic events, including jumping and retrieving contests. The event aims to introduce DockDog diving to the Williamsburg area while benefiting Lab Rescue LRCP and offering vendors, food trucks, and entertainment for spectators Read more here.
