A Note From Our Partner

When was the last time you took a hard look at your financial plan? If it’s been a while, there’s a good chance you may be leaving money on the table. Missed tax strategies, outdated investment allocations, and underutilized accounts can quietly hold you back over time.

This time of year is an ideal opportunity to take control by reviewing your contributions, revisiting your strategy, and ensuring everything is aligned with your current goals. Even small adjustments can make a meaningful difference.

Schedule a complimentary consultation today to review your plan and identify opportunities to strengthen your financial position moving forward.

According to local history and early maps, how did Governor Nicholson originally intend for the streets of Williamsburg to be laid out?

We hope you got it right! 😁 If not, better luck next week!

Additional context (very interesting, but spoiler alert if you haven’t answered yet!): Governor Nicholson was a bit of a royalist "superfan." He originally proposed a plan where the streets would crisscross to form the letters W and M to honor King William III and Queen Mary II. Why don't we see it today? Nature had other plans. When they actually tried to survey the land, they realized that the "tops" of the W and the "bottoms" of the M would have run directly into steep ravines and muddy swamps. The geography simply wouldn't cooperate with his ego. He eventually gave up and settled on the wide, straight Duke of Gloucester Street we see today—which is still widely considered "the most historic main street in America."
