Hey, Nathan here! We've got plenty happening this weekend, so no matter where you are in life, you’ll find something to enjoy!
I was diving into our subscriber data today and thought I’d share some interesting insights with you. We’ve had thousands of Williamsburg residents participate in our survey so far, and one of the questions asked was, “What’s your favorite local restaurant?” Any guesses on what you all chose? Williamsburg Celebrates Bike Month with Ride and Free Tune-Up Event 🚲 🚲
This Saturday, Williamsburg celebrates National Bike Month with Pedal the Parkway, a vehicle-free ride along Colonial Parkway, and Bikes Out of Hibernation, a free event offering bike tune-ups, safety checks, and helmet fittings at Jamestown Settlement. Both events encourage outdoor fun while promoting safe cycling for all ages. More Info
Fort Magruder Hotel Redevelopment to Include Affordable Housing 🏨
Conserve Holdings plans to redevelop the Fort Magruder Hotel in James City County into a mixed-use complex featuring 126 apartments—40% of which would be designated as affordable housing—while preserving the site’s Civil War-era Redoubt 3. The rezoning proposal, supported by the county’s planning commission, will go before the Board of Supervisors on May 13. More Info
Virginia Housing Market Sees Increased Activity and Inventory in March 2025 🏠
Virginia’s housing market showed increased activity in March 2025, with both pending sales and new listings rising from the previous year. While closed sales were down 4.5%, inventory grew by nearly 30%, providing more options for buyers, though rising prices and mortgage rate volatility could still impact the market. More Info
