Williamsburg Area Transit Authority Offers Free Election Day Rides 🚌
On November 5, 2024, Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) will offer free fares on its fixed routes and paratransit services to help voters reach polling locations. WATA has also provided a list of bus stops near key voting sites to ensure that transportation is not a barrier to casting votes. Read the article 

Days on Market Rising for Area Homes 🏠
Despite longer selling times and increased inventory across the Peninsula, home prices in September remain 2.4% higher than last year. Read the article 

Adoptober Fest: $31 Cat Adoptions Happening Now! 🐈

Midtown Row Plan: Retail Space to Apartments 🏘️

Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg Appoint New CEO 👩‍💻
Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg has appointed Shauntrice Williams as its new CEO, effective November 12, succeeding Janet V. Green, who is retiring after over 20 years in the role. Williams, previously a vice president at the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas, will oversee the organization's operations, including homebuilding projects and community outreach initiatives, bringing a strong commitment to housing security and community engagement. Read the article
