James City County to Receive 5-Cent Tax Credit 💵💰
During budget discussions, the James City County Board of Supervisors acknowledged the higher real estate tax amount county property owners will be faced with this year based on the most recent reassessment results. To alleviate some of the burden, a tax credit equal to 5 cents per $100 of value will be applied to all real estate tax assessed in 2025. Read more here.

A town hall forum for Williamsburg City Council candidates scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. More information.
Williamsburg-area Superintendent to Retire in January 👩🏼🏫🏫
Williamsburg-James City County Superintendent Olwen Herron will retire at the end of January, the school district announced Tuesday. Herron, who has held the role since 2017, will leave her position Jan. 31. Read more here.
